'Hunter Jumper' Hand-painted Metal Spoon Ornament
Any equestrian of the Hunt Seat English discipline knows the thrill of sailing over a fence with the wind in your face atop your favorite mount, enjoying a beautiful summer day with the birds soaring overhead. I titled this little painting 'Having Fun' because it really is so much fun!
Having Fun is painted with latex house paint, and sealed with two coats of acrylic varnish for protection. This spoon is a great addition to any equestrian decor, or it makes a wonderful Christmas ornament!
The spoon is a larger soup spoon, measuring 7 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 7/8", with delicate scroll work along the edge of the handle and a scroll with fruit 3/4 up the handle with a small flower at the base. The back of the spoon has my signature, and the handle is imprinted with "1847 Rogers Bros. IS", and it has a navy blue satin ribbon for hanging.
Each one is hand-painted, so even though two spoons may have the same image, they are still individual pieces. I have more spoons available in my shop, so be sure to check them out as well.
**This item is a collector's item only and is not intended for food use or play by small children.**
Please note: most of the spoons I paint on are of older, silver plate that has some damage or are random pieces that I pick up at thrift stores, antique malls and the like. Often times the silver plate handles will tarnish, and they are easily cleaned with silver polish.
This item will ship in 3-5 business days or less.
