'Desert Sunset' Hand-painted Metal Spoon Ornament
This is an old iced tea spoon that I cleaned up, then painted the image of the desert at sunset using latex house paint. I then applied a couple of coats of spar urethane for protection. I have also put the title of the image and signed it on the back.
It measures 8" L x 1 1/4" W and has a beautiful long smooth handle.
The spoon is shown hanging, and it comes with a cream colored organza ribbon already attached for hanging. This would make a great gift, especially if you are not quite sure what to get someone or need a small hostess gift.

Please note: most of the spoons I paint on are of older silver plate that has some damage or are random pieces that I pick up at thrift stores, antique malls and the like. Often times the silver plate handles will tarnish, and they are easily cleaned with silver polish.
